Information
At Doggoholic Rescue Foundation Inc., we understand that surrendering a dog is never an easy decision. Our goal is to make this process as respectful, responsible, and transparent as possible while ensuring the best possible outcome for the dog.
Owner Surrender Process
It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.
Step 1 – Surrender Request
All owners must first complete and submit a surrender application. This allows our team to review the dog’s background and determine whether we are able to safely and responsibly accept the dog into our program. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Step 2 – Documentation Requirements
If the application is approved to move forward, the owner will be required to provide additional information and documentation, including:
• Veterinary records (vaccines, spay/neuter status, medical history)
• Behavioral history
• Feeding schedule and daily routine
• Any known bite history or safety concerns
• Proof of ownership
Full disclosure is required. Failure to provide accurate information may result in the rescue declining intake.
Step 3 – Intake Evaluation & Scheduling
Once all required information has been reviewed, intake will be scheduled based on available space and appropriate placement options such as foster or kennel housing. We do not accept walk-ins or same-day surrenders except in verified emergency situations.
Step 4 – Transfer of Ownership
At the time of intake, legal ownership of the dog is permanently transferred to Doggoholic Rescue Foundation Inc. Once surrendered:
• The dog cannot be reclaimed
• All decisions regarding medical care, behavior support, placement, and adoption are made solely by the rescue
• Placement decisions will always be based on the dog’s best interest
Important Information
• We are a limited-capacity rescue. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
• Owners remain legally responsible for the dog until the scheduled intake date.
• In some cases, we may offer resources, training guidance, or alternative solutions if surrender is not the only option.
• Our priority is to ensure every dog receives proper veterinary care, stability, and placement in a safe and committed home.
If you are considering surrendering your dog, please begin by completing the surrender application so our team can review your request.
Beyond the ordinary
A dog does not measure time the way we do.
They measure life in moments of belonging. In familiar voices. In the sound of footsteps they trust.
When their world changes, it does so all at once. What was certain becomes unknown. What was home becomes memory.
If this path is truly necessary, know that from the moment they enter our care, we will carry the responsibility of helping them heal, rebuild confidence, and find safety again.
Rescue is not an ending. It is a promise that their story will continue with dignity, patience, and love.
Because every dog deserves a future that feels like home.
