What is a Courtesy Post?
A courtesy post is when we help a local dog or family in need by sharing their pet on our platform without the dog physically entering our rescue and without the dog being in our custody. The dog remains with its current owner while we use our reach, experience, and network to help them gain visibility for adoption or rehoming.
At Doggoholic Rescue Foundation Inc., we know emergencies happen. Families may face housing issues, illness, financial hardship, behavior concerns, or other life changes. Even when we are full on intake, we still try to support our local community through courtesy posts.
How We Help
-
Share the dog on our social media and platforms
-
Highlight the dog’s personality, needs, and ideal home
-
Direct interested adopters to applications or owner contact
-
Offer guidance on responsible and safe rehoming
-
Help connect owners with resources when possible
Important Legal Disclaimer
A courtesy post means the dog is not owned, housed, fostered, evaluated, or controlled by our rescue. Doggoholic Rescue Foundation Inc. is not legally responsible or liable for the dog’s behavior, health, temperament, veterinary status, history, or placement outcome. All decisions, disclosures, meet-and-greets, transfers, and final placement arrangements remain solely between the current owner and potential adopter unless otherwise stated in writing.
Why We Still Do It
Being full on intake does not mean turning our backs on local dogs. Rescue is also about using our platform to help prevent unnecessary surrenders, abandonment, and shelter overcrowding.
Even when we cannot physically take a dog in, we will still do our best to help them be seen.
